The regional county municipality of La Vallée-du-Richelieu (MRCVR) is a municipal body with a regional scope that brings together the municipalities of the Richelieu Valley, whose mandate is to exercise the powers and responsibilities conferred on it by the Act respecting development and urban planning (LAU) as well as the Municipal Code of Quebec (CM).
