Occupying the northern part of the MRC Thérèse-De Blainville, the city of Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines is also an integral part of the Montreal Metropolitan Community (CMM). With an area of ​​92.79 km2, this rural agglomeration represents 48% of the territory of the MRC. The main access to Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines is from the south, coming from Bois-des-Filion, via road 335 which is the extension of Highway 19.
