In the neo-Renaissance architectural style, the construction of the church of Saint-Pascal was entrusted to Jean-Baptiste Hébert, father of the famous priest Hébert. The first celebration took place on August 4, 1848.
The interior decoration and the manufacture of the liturgical furniture are by the architect François-Xavier Berlinquet. It is in a neo-classical style that the vast vault is then decorated. In the sacristy, the altar is surmounted by a dome. The most interesting detail of this one is the gilded bas-relief on the door of the tabernacle which depicts a scene from the Emmaus supper.
The earthquake of 1870 seriously damaged the facade of the church. During the reconstruction, an Italian portal similar to that of Saint Mary Major in Rome was added.
The two paintings adorning the choir are works by Charles Huot, one of the masters of mural painting in Quebec. Two other paintings, by unknown authors and dating from before 1900, are located in the transepts.
