The company was originally founded as Enterprise ERG of Windsor in the mid-1980s and from 1998 operations continued as Caminus. A specialist in structural technologies, its sole owner, Réjean Grégoire, decided to use his thirty years of experience as a control inspector.
Expertise related to the maintenance of industrial chimneys is a rare commodity in Quebec and from 1998 to 2014, only three companies served the repair work market for the institutional and industrial sectors.
In the summer of 2014, wishing to ensure the sustainability of his services to these loyal customers, Réjean Grégoire sold Caminus to Jean-François Rochefort. Mr. Rochefort makes the decision to give an expanded vocation to Caminus, which now presents itself under the name of Constructions Caminus Inc. and operates as a general contractor.
The manufacturing and construction of industrial chimneys are now part of the “turnkey” service offered to institutions and industries in Quebec.
