The village of Rivière-Verte developed around the forest, agriculture and public services. It was officially incorporated in 1966 and covers a distance of 7.09 km². Our community currently has a population of approximately 798 inhabitants.
We find heritage sites such as the Sacred Heart Church of Rivière-Verte, the Régis Therrien Monument, the Little School of Rivière-Verte, the Smith Store (R.H. Clavette Grocery Store) and the Smyth House (Moreau apartments). Thanks to our associations and committees, many cultural, sports and recreational activities are organized to entertain citizens. Rivière-Verte is therefore characterized by its dynamism, its safe living environment and its prosperity.
